An interactive symposium designed for cardiothoracic surgeons involved in thoracic surgery

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this comprehensive 1.5 day educational event is to discuss and understand the most up-to-date management of early stage lung cancer, robotic surgical techniques, pre-op and post-op risk reduction and the best use of sealants and hemostatic agents. 
Surgeons will have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on bioskills animal lab under the direct supervision of faculty. There is also an opportunity to observe 2 live simulateneous robotic lobectomies at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

• Review current literature for optimal treatment of early stage lung cancer and patient management strategies
• Gain new insights into advanced techniques for thoracic surgery
• Demonstrate use of BD products in lung surgery
